January 20th, 2018 from 9AM until 1PM
Women’s organizations in Hamilton with the organizers of last year’s Women’s March invite you to mark the first anniversary of the Women's March Movement with something reflective and practical: an indoor summit intended to engage more women and non-binary people in community organizing around intersectional women+’s issues.
The summit will feature Brittany Andrew-Amofah as our keynote speaker and participants will have a choice of three workshops:
1. Anti-Racist/Anti-Oppressive Praxis
2. Advocacy and Interest Representation Campaigns
3. Social Unionism: Women+, Labour and Social Justice
On-site childminding will be provided.
Refreshments and a light lunch will be available.
Tickets are Pay What You Can:
This event is run on donations from community partners and your contribution will ensure that we can cover costs.
We hope that you will select a price ticket which is reasonable for you. Feel welcome to pay for an extra ticket to help someone else join and don't let cost be a barrier to your participation.
