Turning Point Giving Circle Donor Testimonials

The YWCA Hamilton Turning Point Giving Circle is a community of women with diverse backgrounds and interests who are committed to YWCA Hamilton’s mission. Like the YWCA, they believe women and girls must have the rights, resources, and opportunities to shape their own lives and define their communities.

We thank all of our Turning Point Giving Circle members for their philanthropic support. If you are looking to get inspired, read the stories of people you may know who are making a lasting impact on women and girls in our community.

“The concept of Turning Point is so elegantly simple - a community of women supporting and cheering other women. It is a way that is as old as time and as fresh as tomorrow. I love being part of it because to me this is what it means to be part of a community - connection and sharing and letting females know we are never alone in this messy and wonderful thing called life.”

“Being a member of the Turning Point Giving Circle allows me to connect with like minded women, we are a group of women who believe in and support the YWCA Hamilton. We believe in the programs and services they provide, the people behind these programs and the people who are empowered by them. I am fortunate to be apart of this community and support the YWCA Hamilton.”

Suzanne_head_shot_website“It was important to me as a business owner to have an ongoing affiliation with a charity or non-profit, to be one of many helping hands working together to achieve something in the community. Supporting other women in business had always been a big part of what I do, so finding Turning Point was exciting. It was a chance to help women in my city who might be dreaming of starting a business but not in a position to do it without help. Or to help fund a program that provides training, or fitness, or childcare... so many opportunities to make a real positive impact on another woman's life.”
