Level 10 is the end of Red Cross learn to swim program. This level is for ages 6+ yrs and you must have successfully completed Level 9 to enroll in this level.
This class is 45 minutes and runs for 10 weeks.
This level is the final assessment of the strokes for technique and distance (front crawl 100m, back crawl 100m, elementary backstroke 50m, breast stroke 50m and side stroke 25m). Swimmers learn about sun safety, rescue of others from ice, and head-first surface dives. Endurance is built using the dolphin kick (vertical) and a 500m swim.
