Future Vision: Rebuild Your Career with Confidence

Losing a job can be challenging, but it can also be the beginning of a new opportunity. FUTURE VISION is a workforce development program designed to support women and gender-diverse individuals who have been impacted by layoffs. Through industry-focused training, career coaching, and employment supports, participants gain the skills, confidence, and connections needed to successfully transition into new and emerging careers. 


Participants in FUTURE VISION will benefit from:

Priority consideration is currently being provided to individuals affected by workforce restructuring and layoffs, including those impacted by recent changes at Mohawk College and other public sector organizations. Limited spaces may be available for additional eligible participants.

 

Develop the skills needed to plan, coordinate, and lead projects successfully. This stream is ideal for individuals transitioning into administrative, supervisory, team lead, coordinator or management roles, as well as professionals looking to strengthen their organizational and leadership capabilities.

Participants will learn:

✔  Project planning and scheduling

✔  Resource coordination and risk management

✔  Stakeholder communication

✔  Agile project management approaches

✔  Project execution, monitoring, and evaluation

No previous project management experience is required.


*NOTE: This program will not result in PMP certification; but is a training program to start you on the pathway towards certification.

Learn how to identify business needs, solve organizational challenges, and support decision-making through effective analysis. This stream is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in business analysis or professionals seeking to expand their skills in operations, administration, or project-based roles.

Participants will learn:

  Stakeholder engagement techniques

  Requirements gathering and documentation

  Data analysis and interpretation

  Process mapping and modelling

  Business problem-solving methodologies

 Through a hands-on case study, participants will apply their real-world business scenarios and build practical experience throughout the program.

Discover how digital technologies, automation, and artificial intelligence are reshaping today's workplace. This stream is designed for professionals who want to work more efficiently, contribute to innovation, and confidently navigate an increasingly digital world.

Participants will explore:

   Practical AI tools and workplace applications

   Workflow automation and productivity strategies

   Data-informed decision-making

  Cybersecurity fundamentals

  Lending and supporting digital change initiatives

No technical background is required. By the end of the program, participants will have the knowledge and confidence to leverage technology, drive improvement, and thrive in the future of work.
