RISE Collective

RISE Collective is a youth-led collective that centres and amplifies the voices of young women, non-binary, and gender fluid youth in Hamilton. The purpose of the program is to create holistic and intentional programming for all youth that empowers and engages. The RISE Collective offers something for all youth looking to make change in their community.

Strategic Training and Employment Program

A training program for women and non-binary youth aged 15-30 years old with up to 14 weeks paid job placement.

2SLGBTQIA+ Newcomers Safe Space (JOIN)

Services for Newcomers that are Two Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Intersex and anyone under the gender, romantic and sexual non-conforming umbrella. A newcomer-run and newcomer-focused safe space for queer and trans youth in Hamilton.

YWePlay Program

Life Skills, Educational Supports, Adult Allies & Peer Connections for girls, non-binary and gender-fluid youth in middle School early high school.

Tech Gyrls

YWCA Canada’s TechGyrls project aims to improve the mental well-being, community connections, essential skills, access to technology and education outcomes for 105 girls and gender diverse youth between the ages of 9 and 13 from communities across three provinces.

speqtrum

speqtrum is a youth-founded and youth-focused skill-sharing and community building program for 2S-LGBTQIA+ young people in Hamilton, ON.

Project Intersect Act

The Intersect Act will provide individuals who have experienced racism and hate with crucial information and support accessing basic needs like housing, healthcare, and employment that often create racism-related barriers for QT-BIPOC folks.

Newcomer Youth Employment

We provide newcomer youth employment-related services that help them obtain and maintain their first job in Canada.
